To Yield

1/2/20
Philippians 1:20

Yield. Chambers uses this word frequently. I find it much more powerful than the word "decide". When you decide you maintain a sort of power, but yielding is usually something you do to stay safe when something is more powerful than you, it is a surrender. To yield is a choice as well, but it is one with a knowing that it is what is best for you. On the highway, it means to stop and let someone go before you. Is this what I do in my relationship with God? Do I yield to His will for my life? Do I let Him go before me in all I do? To yield is to surrender your place. It should be a daily action in our relationship with God

I need to surrender my will absolutely, irrevocably, and entirely to obey the call of Jesus.
