Conquerors

3/7/2020

Romans 8:37 “Nay, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us."

Nothing is more powerful than the love of God. This was exhibited on the cross of Christ at Calvary. We do not deserve such love, but He freely gives it despite humanity being weak and fickle. He knocks on the door of every soul and invites us all to accept the gift of grace that was freely given.

Nothing is too big for God, and nothing we will ever go through is too much for Him. With His strength and mercy we are more than conquerors. The deeper our faith is in His majesty, grace, and abiding love, the better we can overcome any trial this life can produce. I know this truth, because I have lived it. When I was not walking as closely with the Lord as I am now, the smallest obstacle could overtake me. Now I put my full faith and hope in God, and no longer concentrate on the temporal, but on the eternal.

In James 1: 2 – 4, we are encouraged to rejoice in trials. “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trails of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” This is certainly not an easy thing to do, but the deeper your faith is, the more peace comes, as well as the joy of being aware that God is with you. Knowing God is in control, and releasing all to Him, is how we survive and conquer.

Chambers says, "Undaunted radiance is not built on anything passing, but on the love of God that nothing can alter. The experiences of life, terrible or monotonous, are impotent to touch the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
