Romans 8:28 "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good for those who are called according to his purpose." (ESV)
Waiting on other people is tough. There are many times in life when we must, and I am sure each of your minds are flooded even now with instances from you own lives. This kind of waiting often induces a feeling of complete helplessness. Right now in life, there is so much waiting. Collectively, we are all hanging onto the hope of being vaccinated against the evil little demon that is Covid-19 and it's variant relatives. Many of us are waiting on employment opportunities that are few and far between because of the global pandemic. We are waiting for state restrictions to be lifted. We are waiting to gather together as friends and family again. It certainly is wearying.
So, what do we do? How do we maneuver this extended period of stillness and silence? Well, I have found that turning to God and pouring my heart out to Him in prayer is a balm for my soul. Knowing He is still on the throne, no matter what is raging around us here on Earth, gives me such incredible peace. I also continue to seek out the lessons that this period has to offer, and I pray that there is lasting impact. In this time of global uncertainty, however, the eternal truth of God's mercy, grace, comfort, and love is the one constant that we can all rest in.
Waiting on God is not always easy, but it comes with assurance that He does all for good for those that love Him.
