Genesis 9:13 “I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a taken of a covenant between Me and the earth.”
My son has bought me two beautiful cut glass crosses that are very precious to me. They are lovely at any time of day, but are most amazing when the morning sun is streaming brightly in the windows, because they fill whatever room they are in with rainbows. I had not really noticed this until the Covid-19 lockdown in March. My husband and I were both blessed to be able to work from home. One morning, as we sat together reading our Bibles before heading to our temporary home-office spaces, the room burst into multiple small rainbows. Such a wonderful reminder of God’s promise, especially during a time of such uncertainty. Every time I start feeling down or lonely, I think of the rainbows.
There are so many struggles in life, and we are all feeling that more acutely than ever right now. Nothing that was normal at the beginning of 2020 is that way now. The virus is currently raging and we search for the lessons, of which there are many, but we have a collective weariness. Turmoil and trouble in life is nothing new, and the world has certainly experienced this level of pandemic before, so Chambers knew times like these as well. He writes about the why of it all, but not without offering an answer. “Why does not God save me? Why does not God do this or that? He has done it, the point is—Will I step into covenant relationship?”
The why question is always there, even for the most faithful believer. We are waiting on God to act, to do what we ask Him to do. We are waiting on Him to answer our prayers. We forget about the rainbow after the storm, but it only takes a bit of light breaking through for it to shine in all its glory. . Chambers writes: “I do not believe God unless He will give me something in my hand whereby I may know I have it, then I say—‘Now I believe.’ There is not faith there. ‘Look unto Me, and be ye saved.’”
Look for the rainbow, dear reader, for this storm too will pass.

This brought tears to. my eyes Lehann!! I truly need to look for the rainbows through this storm. But being a believer I will NEVER stop looking even when it is so hard!!!
I am so blessed that this spoke to your heart. I will remind you to look for the rainbows and you can remind me. We will make it through this time, and so will those we love.
