John 7:38 “Rivers of living water.”

Do rivers of living water run though me? Am I focused on God and obedient to His Word so that others are quenched by my presence in their lives? Is the Holy Spirit evident in me? If I am trying to look and act like a Christian in my own strength or for my own purposes, people will not see Jesus in me. It is only through Him that any blessing can flow out of me at all. Chambers writes, “God rarely allows a soul to see how great a blessing he is.” This saint that Chambers writes of must be completely abandoned to Jesus, where he or she follows the Lord’s will without hesitation. They are unconcerned with how they are perceived other than wanting to glorify God.

Chambers also writes, “A river is victoriously persistent, it overcomes all barriers” As a believer, I too can overcome all barriers with God, and when the flow is blocked, He will show me another way. Through fellowship, prayer, reading my Bible, and being sensitive and open to the Holy Spirit, I will always be prepared for another course. My purpose is to never stop flowing.
