My Greatest for Almighty God
Greetings, Blessed One.
I am here for one reason only: to share and listen. I started reading My Utmost for His Highest a little over a year and a half ago after giving a copy to my husband for Father's Day. I am now on my second reading through this powerful book. This is unusual for me, as I am not one who uses daily devotionals, preferring instead to read God's Holy Word and journal prayers and reflections. As I started incorporating this new study into my devotional time, I felt the Holy Spirit dealing with me in a way I hadn't before. This study is extremely challenging, and it seemed to cut me to the quick in the best possible way. It caused me to ask myself, "am I giving my utmost for His Highest?" The answer was a resounding "no". Oswald Chambers' study requires me to deeply focus on my walk with the Lord in a profound way. I do believe this work, along with reading God's Holy Word, has brought me on a journey of spiritual discovery and depth. On this site, I will post a daily reflection from My Utmost for His Highest for the year 2020 in its entirety. For 20/20 means one has perfect vision. My prayer is that together, God will open our eyes so that we can see Him more clearly than ever before.
I have given this study to several people, always with the statement that it is not for the faint of heart. Recently I have been inspired and encouraged to start a conversation about what it means to give my utmost for His Highest, because I truly believe my Lord and Savior wants nothing less of me than that.
Love this blog. I look forward to reading it daily to get your insight and words of encouragement.
