Gripped

2/2/2020
1 Corinthians 9:16 "Woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!"

Am I in God’s grip? Do I submit to His will? Do I testify to being saved through grace? Can I truly be called a disciple of Jesus? Am I a servant of God?

Chambers states, “There is nothing easier than getting saved because it is God’s sovereign work. – Come unto Me and I will save you.” God is knocking at the door of every heart, and it is up to each one of us to open the door and let Him in. This act is the single most important and beautiful moment in a life. The action brings with it the new reality of redemption through the cleansing blood of Jesus, and of grace through faith; it is transformative. A thirst for being in God’s Word develops, and He begins to speak into the very soul. Our Heavenly Father will take hold of our hands, and walk with us through the rest of our lives, and in those times we cannot walk, He will carry us. Hallelujah!

As a child of the Most High, I am to testify to this saving grace through Jesus. I am called, as Paul was, to be “set apart for the gospel.” (Romans 1:1)  When I answer this call, all else becomes a faint shadow in the light of my Savior’s love. When He is the center of my life, everything radiates from there. The closer I draw near to my God, the stronger my desire becomes to share the truth of His Holy Word. It is the most vital thing I can do for another; for with it comes everlasting life.

  1. I walked through life not really knowing what God wanted with or from me. As I read this post, and the ones that proceed it, I'm confronted with simple fact I must surrender my will to God's. I do love to reread your posts. God bless you and keep you.
